Depression helped with Hypnoanalysis

“Ever sat in your doctors surgery hoping for some guidance or relief and all you get is anti-depressants? Well I did on and off for ten years, along time for tablets to take effect. But you see they suppress your mood at the time and don’t really deal with your problems. Hypnotherapy is a way to meet your problems face on and get them out of the way there and then, no ifs no buts. After that they are gone completely a huge weight lifted off urn shoulders or that horrible lump in your throat or feeling in your stomach gone, and I mean gone. I’m not a religious person but I guess you could describe it as being born again, and I’m definitely not narcissistic but I now love my life and me as a person and how I feel is deal with my everyday ups and downs. I wish I was prescribed these 10 years ago. So go ahead give it a try because not only will you find yourself but you’ll also find a good friend”.

Thanks for everything, the very grateful”, K.L. Uprichard.

“I don’t feel that anything ‘happened’ to me, but then I don’t think that’s how you are meant to feel. What I can tell you for a fact is that in the past two weeks that have since passed I’ve really, really, really wanted a cigarette – but I haven’t had one.

Like the eyelids I could have opened but somehow didn’t, somehow I haven’t smoked.

I don’t know how much of that is down to me and how much is down to hypnotherapy.

But if the whole thing is a scam and I’ve just convinced myself it works, then it has worked, hasn’t it?”

“And what about this for a venture? Would you like to know what my new hobby is? This is coming from a girl who couldn’t face anyone in daylight, stand in a queue or walk down the street without turning a rather impressive shade of crimson? I am now an official rep for Ann Summers. Yes indeed, last night I went to a party with my unit organizer and she showed me the ropes. I thought I would cringe when the ‘fun objects’ came out but I thoroughly enjoyed myself and even persuaded a lady who was in her early forties to buy a vibrator! I was sitting through the party with tears of laughter streaming down my cheeks thinking, “I can do this, and I can do this!” That in itself is a great achievement. What do you think xxxxx by day…Ann Summer’s rep by night?

Tracie McCann ‘Leader’ Advertising Manager.

Tracie turns to hypnosis in a bid to beat the weed.

tracie_photoLeader advertising manager Tracie McCann has tried almost everything to kick her 40 a day habit into touch.

However up until last week Tracie was still locked in her addiction with no sign of a way out.

That’s when she made the decision to put hypnotherapist Stephen Chan’s claim, that he can get smokers to stop smoking in just one hour, to the test.

Stephen is an analytical and clinical hypnotherapist and has offices in Portadown and Newry. He claims that over 95% of the hundreds of smokers he has helped quit gave up easily and permanently after just one session. And Tracie is now a firm believer in the power of hypnosis after a very positive session with Stephen.

“I was smoking 40 cigarettes per day for the past 17 years and was really struggling to give up,” said Tracie. “I’d tried just about everything without success and jumped at the chance to go and see Stephen.”

“He explained to me that smoking wasn’t about an addiction to nicotine but rather it was all in my mind, Stephen said that my beliefs are my reality and if think in a certain way I can change.”

“The hypnosis past lasted about 15 minutes and was completely different to what I imagined.”

“I had prepared myself for some Paul McKenna type antics, however it wasn’t like that as I was to made to wear headphones and listen to a tape of subliminal messages.” “Stephen told me to relax and feel myself becoming more and more relaxed throughout my body.” “While I was in this state Stephen put very positive suggestions into my head and told me I was a non-smoker.”

So far the treatment seems to be working with Tracie still off cigarettes.
“Since my session with Stephen I haven’t thought about smoking which is amazing as before I constantly thought about having a cigarette.” She said.

“I would certainly recommend Stephen and after being very sceptical about the whole process I am now a firm believer.”

Driving Test Nerves helped with Clinical Hypnosis/Suggestion Therapy

“Stephen, just wanted to let you know that I passed my driving test last Saturday. The hypnotherapy really helped. I have to admit, I was a bit sceptical at the beginning but on the day I hardly had any nerves! I couldn’t have done it without your help!

Thanks S” (Belfast)

“Hypnotised and not a swinging watch in sight”

kathy_photoThink of being hypnotised and you immediately think of swinging pocket watches and deep trances. But the truth is more modern and can help with a range of emotional, nervous or psychological problems. ”

A visit to Stephen Chan’s Portadown clinic last week was just what the doctor ordered. I underwent some relaxation and Stress Management Hypnosis and it’s something that I will remember for a long time.

Stephen immediately puts you at ease and quickly dispels any myths and beliefs that hypnotherapy involves a swinging watch and state of trance.

There are no watches and no falling asleep. In fact you feel totally alert to what is going on and you can bring yourself to full consciousness at any time during the session. Stephen handed me a set of earphones and then I just sat back relaxed and listened to what he said. It’s hard to describe what being hypnotised feels like. The best way that I can describe it is a focused state of concentration – a bit like daydreaming, totally unconcerned about what is going on but deep in concentration!

Stephen urged me to relax, feel good about myself and start to imagine myself on a isolated beach complete with swaying palm trees, white sand and gentle lapped waves. I ha

to stop myself from sipping the pina colada sitting to my left and ogling the hunks on the beach.

What a life – and then I had to come back to work in the Leader!

My session with Stephen really did put me at ease and I felt completely relaxed.

Stephen can help people with many conditions, included lack of confidence, smoking, phobias, alcohol/drug abuse, panic attack, sexual problems, compulsions, insomnia, paranoia, weight control, social fears, blushing, public toilet shyness and depression.”

Amanda after undergoing Hypnoanalysis

amanda_photo“When I first decided to address my problem, I was unsure of where exactly to find help. After searching the internet I found Stephen Chan’s Hypnotherapy site, promising to help with many different anxieties and phobias.

Not sure of what to expect I contacted Stephen, who returned my email promptly and after I had answered his call, I was surprised to find how easy it was to talk to him. I immediately felt at ease and he seemed relaxed and confident that he could help.

Even though I believed in the power of counselling, I was unaware of what exactly Hypnotherapy involved and was sceptical about just how successful it could be.

However, on my first meeting with Stephen I found him to be very warm and approachable and was put very much at ease as he discussed what the therapy would involve. I left our introduction feeling positive that I had taken the first step to dealing with my problem.

In the next few weeks I discovered aspects about myself that I had been unaware of and was leaving each session on a high. The feeling of relief when unburdening myself of all my bottled up feelings really allowed me to gain insight into how they had been affecting my behaviour and felt the benefits of this not just emotionally, but physically too.

However, it was not always easy as I was coming to terms with painful feelings that were causing me distress and confusion. I was encouraged by the trusting, non-judgemental environment, Stephen had helped create and the close bond between us gave me the courage to face those thoughts and memories that were causing me pain.

Stephen, thank-you for helping me through my therapy, I appreciate your patience and understanding. Your empathy and humour encouraged me to feel safe and accepted.
I am now living the benefits of the therapy and see myself and the rest of the world in a completely different way

I would encourage anyone suffering problems to seek help in hypnotherapy as it has given me new confidence to recognise my potential, deal with challenges and pursue those opportunities that in the past would have frightened me.
Thank-you

Amanda”

Geraldine after undergoing Childbirth Hypnosis

geraldine100baby“I visited Stephen a couple of weeks after I found out I was expecting my first child. I had a phobia of doctors all my life and I knew that in order to enjoy my pregnancy I had to overcome the fear of ‘white coats’.

After one session I had overcome my phobia. During this session Stephen advised me of hypnosis he did around the pain of child birth and how hypnosis could make the experience more enjoyable and less painful. I have got to say I did not think this was possible but as with any first time mum I would have taken or done anything to alleviate my worries about childbirth.

So eight weeks before my due date I had three sessions with Stephen and was given cd’s to listen to during labour, I was still sceptical up until I went into hospital but I can say now my daughter was born in April and I had only four hours of labour and my only form of pain relief was gas and air. I had a wonderful stress free labour and my daughter was and continues to be a very relaxed and happy baby. If I am lucky enough to have a second child I will use hypnosis again.
