My name is Stephen Chan, and I am one of the most qualified and experienced hypnotherapists in the U.K. I am also trained in counseling and N.L.P. to enable me to provide you with the best possible help and support for whatever your emotional or psychological problem might be. I am presently the relaxation consultant for the Southern Area Hospice. On numerous occasions I have lectured on hypnotherapy on behalf of Active Counseling Lisburn and Antrim, and ran stress management courses for teachers of the Southern Education Board.

I am a lecturer for the IAH on pain management / hypno-anaesthesia. And I have given lectures and workshops for the Southern Education Board, various counseling organizations

At the 21st annual conference in May of 2006 I became one of the first eighteen members of the International Association of Hypno-Analysts to be awarded the advanced membership status, from a worldwide membership of 400 hypnotherapists.

As a fully qualified member of the International Association of Hypno-analysts, the American Association of Medical Hypnotherapists and the British Association of Counsellors and Psychotherapists, I am bound by a strict code of Practice and Ethics of the highest standards.

I have undergone extensive training, and have satisfied the various examination boards of my competence, I am also committed to excellence of service to my clients is unparalleled, and I have committed myself to an ongoing programme of personal and professional development in my field of therapy Because I feel I have a responsibility to retain and update my repertoire of skills regulary, in order for me to provide the highest possible quality of therapy…I believe that my clients expect and deserve the best.

With over 9 years of experience, I have seen the results of hypnotherapy first hand and I know how it can be used to effectively help people overcome a variety of issues.
As Certified Medical Hypnotherapist , I have the experience and education necessary to help people in several areas, including weight control, pain management, smoking cessation, phobias, preoperative and postoperative recovery, sexual problems, and depression to name a few.

Fellow of the IAPH

In May 2008 Stephen was awarded a Fellowship of the International Association of Pure Hypnoanalysts at the IAPH annual conference. Over the years, he has contributed a huge amount to the field of hypnotherapy, and in particular, to the IAPH, especially in the field of medical hypnosis and pain management - subjects he has lectured on throughout the UK.
